Ever since I started working as a physician, the dignity and health of my patient are my first priority overcoming any other consideration.

As a senior dermatologist in the Hadassah University Medical Center, close to 25 years, I have made sure I'd keep up to date and have a deep and thorough knowledge of most subjects in dermatology. During this time I have gained a vast experience and became a senior consultant to the complementary insurance plans of all Israeli HMO's (save for 'Meuhedet') and for many of the private medical insurance companies. Many patients from all over Israel & abroad are coming or being referred to my clinic for a second opinion and treatment of complex problems which have not previously been diagnosed or resolved.

Main areas of interest

Amongst others, my main specialty interests include Dermoscopy for early detection of skin cancer, moles and benign skin lesions, spots, scars, viral and other kinds of warts, skin problems special for elderly skin, and on the other hand pediatric skin problems like atopic dermatitis. Another special field is the surgical field which includes MOHS surgery for the removal of malignant skin skin lesions as well as aesthetic surgery for correction of skin imperfections, scars, removal of benign skin lesions and a special procedure developed by me for the treatment of ingrown toe nails.

Dermatosurgery and dermatology

A dermato-surgeon is first and foremost a dermatologist – a specialist who developed a relatively restricted area of surgery dealing with  the skin and structures connected to the skin.  A dermatosureon performs surgical procedures beginning with small, simple skin biopsies, continues with surgeries for skin problems like ingrown toe nails, warts, moles and other skin problems like scars and large operations for the removal of skin cancers.

MOHS surgery is a special subspecialty within dermatosurgery, and in the USA, the birthplace of MOHS surgery, is being performed mainly by dermatologists. In Israel it is being performed by both dermatosurgeons and plastic surgeons.
